Dr. Seuss Week Schedule with Free Printable
In early childhood, we usually have a whole Dr. Seuss week because of how many popular books he has published that kids of all ages love. Whether your favorite book is the classic book Green Eggs and Ham or One Fish, Two Fish, Red FIsh, Blue Fish, or one of his less popular books like Mr. Brown Can Moo and The Foot Book, we have fun ways to celebrate them all!

You can print out the schedule we follow in our preschool classroom here.
Day 1: The Cat in the Hat
A great book to start out your fun Dr. Seuss activities in The Cat in the Hat because the characters, especially the fun cat, keep showing up in his other books as well. This book is a great way to ease into the wonderful world of Dr. Seuss for young children.

Make an easy hat craft or a paper plate cat mask. Then, try a super easy but fun fine motor skills activity that goes perfectly with this book! Check it all out here.
Day 2: Fox in Socks
Another wonderful book to add to your Dr. Seuss themed activities is Fox in Socks! This is a great one for early readers and for all kinds of learning fun!

When we read this fun book, we like to break out the fun activity of sock matching as well as the fun craft of decorating our own socks! Sock activities are the perfect way to get all age groups involved in Dr. Seuss books. Read about it here.
Day 3: Hop on Pop
Most of the time, if you ask my grandson, he says his favorite Dr Seuss book is Hop on Pop. So we had to come up with a simple activity and easy craft to go along with this silly book. And he ended up having so much fun with it!

Read about our Hop on Pop ideas here. These are pretty easy for younger kids with simple materials and little set-up.
Day 4: Green Eggs and Ham
Perhaps his most famous book, Green Eggs and Ham is a must for Dr. Seuss week, and there’s so many different ways to do activities and crafts for this book. This book is awesome to practice rhyming as well as get the full effect of the magic of Dr. Seuss.

For this book, not only did we make our own green eggs and ham to eat, we made some with craft materials, too. We even broke out the play dough to make more! Check it all out here.
Day 5: The Foot Book
Another lesser known Dr. Seuss book that young child have so much fun with is The Foot Book. This fun book is a hit in preschool, but it’s great for any age group. And there’s tons of educational activities you can do with it!

We had so much fun doing animal foot matching, painting with our feet, and making foot tracks! You can see examples of all of it here.
