Cute Bunny Crafts with Footprints

Footprints are a fun way to make a bunny shape with young kids. Plus, these cute bunnies make great Easter decorations that you actually want to put up in your house! These little footprint will always make you think of your little ones.

Easy Easter Crafts

This fun craft makes an awesome, easy Easter bunny craft that you can do with kids of all ages. We usually do this project sometime in the spring season, and then hang them up for Easter! It also works well as a bunny art project other times of the year, too.

Starting Your Fun Easter Bunny Craft

This is a fun art project to do with kids on or around Easter that takes very little prep work. Check out all the supplies you’ll need along with step-by-step directions.

Materials Needed

This easy bunny craft only takes a few different art supplies that you may already have. But we found everything we used at the dollar store. Here’s everything we used:

  • Green, blue, and pink paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Canvas
  • Cotton balls (or pom poms)
  • Glue

These are the paint colors we used for our bunnies, but you can use any color you want. We also used washable paint for the entire project.

1. Paint the Canvas

First, have your child paint the canvas any color they want. We mixed the green with a little white paint, and let my son paint the whole thing. I took a paintbrush after to spread out any clumps.

When they paint the canvas, this is a good time to do a fun painting activity like painting with utensils. Incorporating messy play like this is a great way to help build fine motor skills and creativity.

2. Bunny Footprint

Once the paint on the canvas has dried, you’ll add your footprints. You can have you child step in the paint, but then take a paintbrush and smooth out the paint on their foot. Younger kids will need a lot more help and guidance than older kids for this step, so we have a bucket of soapy water right next to them to clean the paint off.

3. Add the Bunny Ears

Next, paint on the bunny ears on top of the footprints. If you’re doing this craft with older kids, they can paint the ears on themselves. My son is three, so I decided to paint the bunny’s ears on myself.

4. Add the Bunny Tails

Lastly, glue on the cotton ball or pom pom once the paint has dried. This is another step that your young kids can help you with.
